Ethical Implications of Social Media for Attorneys - On-Demand

Webinar now available On-Demand. NOTE: On-Demand webinars are not eligible for CLE credit.

WEBINAR SNAPSHOT: Use this one-hour on-demand webinar to learn about the ethical implications of using social media for your law practice.

There is no manual for attorneys to consult to decide how they can and cannot use social media to better serve themselves and their clients. Yet, the compulsion for any business to have an internet presence is nearly inescapable. As a result, more legal professionals, and businesses, are building an online presence – especially in the realm of social media.

Within that realm, there are growing concerns regarding the uncertainty of what practices constitute an ethical violation. The American Bar Association Model Rules of Professional Conduct is silent on the ethical implications of social media, however there have been some ethics opinions issued. Unfortunately, many ethical questions still do not have a clear-cut answer.

In this one-hour on-demand webinar, Ms. Durrett will review some areas of concern and potential ethical implications that you may not have considered. The topics covered will help you ensure that you are not overlooking an area of social media use that could have a negative impact on your career! In addition, this webinar may enable you to help guide your clients as well so that they are also aware of the potential ramifications of unethical social media use.
