Child Custody Issues in Alabama: A Judicial Perspective - On-Demand

Webinar is now available on-demand.  NOTE: On-Demand webinars are not eligible for CLE credit.

WEBINAR SNAPSHOT: Learn best practices and the latest issues in Alabama child custody, from a judge on the Jefferson County Circuit court, Domestic Relations Division.

Use this valuable on-demand webinar and learn best-practices in this area of family law. Your presenter, a judge on the Jefferson County Circuit court, Domestic Relations Division, will review child custody issues that arise in divorce, including when joint custody is appropriate and what is considered in determining the best interest of the child.

Attorneys in custody matters should be mindful of their dual role as an advocate and as a counselor. The most effective lawyers are problem solvers, not problem creators. They are lawyers who treat the opposing client and counsel with courtesy and respect. Most importantly, the lawyers are advocates for the child even if this means seeking solutions that their client is reluctant to take or even hostile toward. Being such an advocate not only enhances your professional reputation, it is the right thing to do for the family whose most precious asset is the child.
