Dan Coughlin

Daniel D. Coughlin is a member of Massengill and Caldwell, P.C., in Bristol, Tennessee, where he also serves as President of the Bristol Bar Association. He has a general civil practice concentrating in insurance defense, torts, probate, and appellate work.

Before entering private practice, Mr. Coughlin worked as a judicial law clerk for the Tennessee Court of Appeals from 1994-95. He has been certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization since 2004. He served as chair of the Tennessee Bar Association’s General, Solo, and Small Firm Section from 2004-2006, and has served on the Executive Council of the Association’s Litigation Section since 2003.
