W. Walton Garrett is an emeritus professor of law at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where he taught from 1961 until his retirement in 1985. Professor Garrett received his B.B.A. in 1949 from the University of Alabama; his J.D. in 1961 from Cumberland University; and his LL.M. in 1962 from Yale University. He is the author of Tennessee Divorce, Alimony, & Child Custody.
