Knoxville Faculty Bios...
Judge Thomas S. Wright has served the Third Judicial District – which consists of Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, and Hawkins counties – as a circuit court judge since his election in 2006.
Prior to his election as circuit judge, he served as the general sessions and juvenile judge for Greene County, having been elected to that position in 1998.
Judge John McAfee has served the Eighth Judicial District – which consists of Campbell, Claiborne, Fentress, Scott, and Union counties – as a circuit judge since his election in 2004.
He previously served as Claiborne County’s general sessions judge and juvenile judge from 1998 through 2004.
J. Terry Holland is a founding member of the Knoxville law firm of Holland Law Offices, where he practices in the areas of civil practice, family law, and personal injury.
He earned his B.S. and J.D. degrees from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
Theodore Kern is a partner in the law firm of Eshbaugh, Waters, Strange-Boston, Kern & Asbury. He has taught classes in interviewing and negotiations at the University of Tennessee College of Law. He is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 mediator.
Jackie Kittrell has served as the Executive Director of the Community Mediation Center, a non-profit center for mediation in the East Tennessee region. She has received family law and civil mediation training. Recently she was trained as a collaborative family lawyer and is Vice President of the Tennessee Valley Mediation Association.
Jim Lloyd, CPA/ABV/CFF, ASA, CBA, CFE, of Pershing Yoakley & Associates, is a frequent speaker at various national and regional conferences.
He has testified as an expert in federal, state, and various local courts and arbitration proceedings across the United States in connection with valuation, economic damages, and fraud-related matters.
Kevin Shepherd has more than 20 years of experience and is currently in solo practice with an office located in Maryville.
He practices in the areas of family law, divorce, personal injury, criminal defense, appellate practice, and general practice. He is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 family law mediator.
Kevin Teffeteller, is the Legal Director for Child Support Services of Tennessee in Knoxville. He joined Child Support Services in the 10th Judicial District as a IV-D attorney in 1999. He provided testimony in 2005 to an ad hoc committee studying proposed changes to the Child Support Guidelines and served on a 2006 ad hoc committee which made recommendations to the state legislature.

Nashville Faculty Bios...
Judge Don Ash has served the 16th Judicial District – which consists of Cannon and Rutherford counties – as a circuit judge since 1994. He became one of the first judges in Tennessee to complete the Masters Degree program at the University of Nevada at Reno in May 2000.
He is currently the presiding judge of the Court of the Judiciary. He has authored several publications, including a thesis that became the basis for the drafting and adoption of the Parenting Plan for Tennessee.
Judge John T. Gwin is general sessions judge for Division III in Wilson County, which handles divorce (including child support, child custody, etc.), juvenile, paternity, probate, orders of protection, and commitments.
He served as a city judge in Mt. Juliet for 15 years.
Grant Glassford has been practicing family law since 1989. From 1998 to December 2004, he was a principal with Stokes Bartholomew Evans & Petree, P.A. He opened up his own law office on December 1, 2004.
He has sat as a special judge on Davidson County’s Order of Protection Docket. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 2005.
John Hollins, Jr. has been a domestic relations and personal injury trial attorney since 1987 with Hollins, Raybin & Weissman, P.C. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the field of domestic relations since 2003 and in the Family Law Section of The Mid-South Super Lawyers since 2008.
He is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 family law mediator.
Marlene Moses, founding partner of Moses & Townsend, PLLC, is Board certified as a Family Law Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
The Best Lawyers in America has included her in its publication as a specialist in family law, and she is named in the Mid-South Super Lawyers in its yearly publications. She is a certified fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Greg Smith, a member of the Family Law Service Group of Stites & Harbison PLLC, has helped clients find and recover children abducted by former spouses and obtained help for children with disabilities. He has experience in international custody litigation in both state and federal courts. His appeals include a Tennessee Supreme Court case that set the standard for subject matter jurisdiction in child support cases. He is listed in the Best Lawyers in America since 2008 in Family Law.
Robert Vance, CPA/ABV/CFF, CVA, CEP, of Forensic & Valuation Services, PLC, has been appointed a Special Master and admitted as a court-qualified expert in federal and state courts in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Florida. He is a Rule 31 General Civil Mediator in Tennessee.
He is a frequent speaker throughout the South and has authored numerous articles on business valuation, economic damages, and divorce-related subjects in a variety of professional journals.
