WEBINAR SNAPSHOT: Earn CLE as you learn debt collection strategies and tools in Alabama.

You represent a lender, a seller, or someone else who says it is owed money – the client has performed a service and not been paid or the client has sold a product and the debtor has stopped paying. What actions should you take to collect the debt? Can you obtain collection without having your client incur the expense of a lawsuit?

Collecting debts and judgments is not glamorous, but it is essential to satisfy the needs of your clients. Does the debtor have assets to pay the debt? The question may seem simple, but often assets – or even the debtor – are hard to locate.

There are services available that provide information about a debtor’s employment, residence, real property ownership, and motor vehicle ownership. But are they worth it, and how accurate are they? And once you’ve proven assets, how can you leverage that to collect the debt owed your client?

Join your colleagues for this valuable update on debt collection in Alabama.
