WEBINAR SNAPSHOT: Need an update on the latest developments in Alabama Worker’s Compensation? Join us on April 24 for a one-hour webinar covering all you need to know in 2019.

In a case of first impression, an employee cut his leg on a job site and was involved in an automobile accident on the way to get treatment. Were the injuries suffered in the auto accident compensable?

Busy attorneys and employers don’t have time to read all the workers’ compensation cases handed down by the Alabama Supreme Court and the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals. But they can get caught up on the most significant cases in this 60-minute webinar. Join us on April 24 as Carr Allison's Bo Kirkpatrick will review this case and other significant recent workers’ comp cases and explain their impact. This is one update you don't want to miss!

The presentation will include:

  • Recent developments in the definition of a “special employer” under the Workers’ Compensation Act of Alabama
  • Recent developments in Alabama courts asserting jurisdiction over workers’ compensation claims in Alabama, as well as new decisions on venue issues
  • Recent developments with regard to the standard for medical causation in workers’ compensation cases in Alabama
  • The constitutionality of the Alabama Workers’ Compensation Act
