Attorneys' Civil Rights Update: Excessive Force, Unlawful Arrest, and More

Live Webinar: Tuesday, April 23, 2019

2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Central / 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern

WEBINAR SNAPSHOT: Join this insightful webinar to learn how to handle excessive force and unlawful arrest cases in Tennessee.

Does your law practice involve Section 1983 civil rights claims of excessive force, false arrest, or malicious prosecution? Recent high-profile police shootings of civilians may have triggered a rise in such claims, and you may have clients pursuing such action, or in the case of police officers, in need of a defense attorney.

If so, you'll want to use this informative webinar on critical issues and recent case laws when representing either citizens or law enforcement in civil rights cases.

Join us on April 23 when our presenter, attorney J. Bryan Moseley, will bring you up to speed on the latest issues like:

  • Excessive force – Was deadly or non-deadly force reasonable under the circumstances? Did the police officer qualify for immunity?
  • False arrest – Was the arrest supported by probable cause?
  • Malicious prosecution – Was unreasonable prosecutorial action taken to bring the plaintiff before the court independent of an initial physical seizure?
  • And more!

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to navigate their way through some of the complexities of excessive force and unlawful arrest.
