Millions of American homeowners are struggling to make their monthly mortgage payments, and Tennessee is no exception. Just this August, 4,200 new foreclosures were filed in our state, bringing the total for 2009 to 32,264. Foreclosure sales rose to 453 in August 2009, bringing the total in 2009 to 8,024.
Lenders, as well as the government, are making efforts to assist struggling homeowners. For example, President Barack Obama’s stimulus plan allows homeowners to get more affordable monthly mortgage payments through refinancing and home loan modification.
Learn how these recent developments are changing the face of Tennessee real estate law by participating in the all-new Tennessee Attorneys Memo audio conference, Real Estate Law Update for Today's Economy: Foreclosures, Mortgages, Judicial Sales, and More.
