Whether you're a plaintiff's attorney or representing the defense, you don't want to miss this Tennessee Attorneys Memo audio conference on how to get the best settlement or verdict for your client...

When you participate in Economic Damages in Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Cases, in-demand CLE presenters Rebecca Blair and Brandon Bass will answer crucial questions that arise when proving economic damages, including:

  • How do you prove that medical expenses were reasonable and necessary?
  • How do you prove future medical expenses when an injury renders a person a paraplegic?
  • How do you prove the pecuniary value of the life of a child or infant who is killed in an automobile accident?

When you attend this CLE-approved live event, you'll also learn:

  • How to obtain necessary proof for past and future medical expenses
  • How to prove lost wages, including other compensation
  • How to prove lost earning capacity in personal injury and wrongful death cases
  • The dos and don'ts for working with vocational, life care planning, and economic experts
  • A clear breakdown of the reductions for present value and the decedent’s expenses

Proving negligence or fault when a person is injured or killed in an accident is only the first step in a lawsuit. The plaintiff must also prove damages. Whether you're representing the plaintiff or the defense, the stakes are high:

  • Damages were awarded in 242 out of 590 personal injury and wrongful death cases that went to trial in Tennessee from July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007.
  • Over $44 million in damages were awarded during that time.
  • The average award was $182,745.
  • There were 18 awards of $500,000 or more.
  • There were 10 awards for $1 million or more, including two for $5 million.

What you know about economic damages in tort cases could mean millions for your clients. Learn how to get the best verdict for your cases by registering for Economic Damages in Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Cases.
