Day 1

Day 1 features a two-track program, one designed for attorneys and one for employers and other professionals in the workers’ compensation field.

Attorney track: Common mistakes in investigating and preparing a workers’ comp case, scope of employment issues, the administrative review process, conflict resolution, and more. The attorney track will feature both defense and plaintiff’s attorneys.

Employer track: Accident investigation and prevention, rehabilitating and returning the injured employee to work, methods to contain workers’ comp costs, the benefit review process, and more.

Attendees may mix tracks to better serve their needs!

Day 2 (half day)

Update on the latest legislative and case law developments. Hear from attorneys from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development on recent developments in the administration of the department’s programs, including the benefit review process and the penalty program. Get an overview of the AMA Guides, which apply to injuries occurring after January 1, 2008.
