First, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that employers are legally liable for sexual harassment in their workplace-even if they hadn't known about it. Second, sexual harassment claims and lawsuits are SURGING. According to a nationwide survey of HR professionals recently reported in Human Resource Executive magazine, 68% of those surveyed said their company had handled a sexual harassment complaint in 2004.
